Ok, tak habis lagi ckp pasal belon. Haha :P
Anyway, I despise it when people stereotyping balloons with birthdays. Or balloons with children's birthdays, to be precise. Like cakes to birthdays. Padahal wedding cake pon ada.
Cake nak makan bila2 masa pon boleh... Pegi je la cake house beli.
Or bake your own. Asal ada kek je kau ingat hari jadi...
*Ok, sesuai tak metafora itu?
Haha :P
Ataupon sarkas, funfair. Asal ada belon je - sarkas, funfair.
Sarkastiknya aku hari ni. Haha. Hormon.
If they were of multitude of colours, then it's a different story.
Unless it's meant for Mexican wedding theme.
Still balloons are relevant, people. I'm just simply balloons lover.
So just bare with me.
Let's cut the jinx and move on with the story. And so we decided to have balloons on A's side as well. This time, we found a helium balloons supplier. I couldn't remember the quotation (as all was done through phone calls), but if it's more than 300, we can get it like RM 1 each. Less than that RM 1.30...
After going through such a hassle being my own balloon-man, I came to agree with the arrangement. BUT, I decided that we would be using:
1.
our own balloons -
since I had no idea what kind of balloons they were going to use and so I decided it's better that I buy myself. So glad I did - And so I went to kilang getah for yet another round of purchase...2.
our own ribbons -
the thin satin ribbons leftovers- thus I managed to get the balloon-man to reduce it to RM 0.70. After all, we were just using the helium gas & inflating service...

Come the day, all was inflated very much earlier in the morning as A's family was having majlis cukur jambul for his nephew, Aydin. Turned out it wasn't the balloon-man who showed up but his workers. And they went on tying the
white &
pink balloons with
blue benang bulu kambing. I've told them to use the
white &
pink ribbons but I guess the info was lost somewhere in between the crowd.
I was not around the scene to act bridezilla. After all, I resigned the post early in the morning as it was majlis bertandang/ menyambut menantu... :P So, hands off ~~~
They somehow tied some of the balloons with the satin ribbons. And that's how I knew - be it benang bulu kambing, or satin ribbon - all will entangle. Again, sila guna riben plastik.
Inflating in-process.Expectedly, the balloons were such a hit amongst children. Comel tau makcik2 pon nak belon as doorgift. Baru halfday, hampir semua belon dah hilang. Haha. And it was drizzling that afternoon, the raindrops yang kena kat belon tu cause it to be heavy and unable to float. So nak bagi dia float, kena lap air2 kat permukaan belon...
Balloons by the fenceBefore the day ends, I tried to demonstrate the effect of helium on our voice - the chipmunk/donald duck effect. Turned out it didn't happen. I so doubt what kind of gas the vendor really used...
Lepas tu, masa nak clear the payment he said we used 500 balloons. Punya la penipu! I bought 600 of them and I had balance of 200 in my hand. Again I wasn't there. A paid extra RM 70.
So I wouldn't suggest this guy.
Blue benang, doubtful gas and extra 100 pieces that we didn't get - I've deleted his number :P
