Makan Beradap

At first, Mama suggested we made it old school mcm dia dulu2 - makan hidang atas lantai dlm rumah bersimpuh bersama sanak saudara... When I come to like the idea, Ayah plak mcm pelik dan ckp susah... Mama ye ye convince Ayah that I wanted it that way...

I told A about it and he gave me 'the look'. "Dia mkn kat meja pon boleh tumpah2... nak mkn kat bwh?" -- refering to me. Ye, saya mmg comot.

So I told my parents I'm ok with makan kat meja yg dihias (I was trying to avoid that) with a condition, I want meja bulat. Tak kiraaaa :P Dan meja pengantin akan diletakkan bersama2 meja lain dibawah khemah utk rombongan pengantin lelaki. It's just that meja pengantin akan deco lebih sket.

Ayah mcm pelik with my request (he actually wanted me to use the rectangle table yg berderet2 kat rumah tu... sbb hari kenduri, xtau nak letak mana... skali, pengantin xnak... camne?) I told him not to worry bcoz I'll sure get the table to its service. Letak favour ke ape...

If I really have to use the rectangle tables,
this is my dream setting.

Biar la... pengantin dok bertentangan. Romantik, kan? :P
Baru la namanya makan berhadap. :P
*Love the different chairs... kena la pinjam kat jiran2 kan? :P

Dan oh, another benda yg wajib ada...
Oh, the other day, I attended a colleague's wedding. Meja petak segiempat sama disusun berasingan... bkn digabungkan menjadi panjang spt biasa... Satu meja boleh duduk 4 org (atau lebih, termasuk kanak2...) SGT SEMPOI! Sbb nampak mcm kat mamak...

Went back to my hometown last weekend with missions.
I was planning to go to a wedding. Tp rupa2nya, saya silap tgk date!!! Niss, sorry! I thought your wedding was on 12th Dec. Sorry sgt I can't make it for this weekend!

On Sunday, a cousin got engaged. Went to auntie's house to help prepare the hantaran and deco.

Since I was not going anywhere that Saturday, I went on painting the house with the help of my 10-years-old baby brother. We had fun painting the outside wall. Lagipon cat dah beli masa cuti hari raya haji itu hari... Bersemangat mengecat sampai x ingat nak makan. By evening I was so exhausted, I couldn't lift my hand. Malam siap xleh tido, sbb cramp dan terpaksa sroh mama urutkan.

Yeah, I wish I had that big roller. I chosed green too... and I wanted something just like in the picture or something lighter. But the paint was too light - it's like green in the shade of white!

I was quite frustrated because I manually pick the colour using Dulux colour palette. They have extensive range of colours and the mixture was done using some digital machine. However, the sales assistance did inform me it might not turn out to be the same. I should have expected the worst and pick darker colour.

Dulux also have an online pallete at ICI Dulux. Click on Colour Pallete4 Explorer. Great tool to play with - especially for those of you who's moving into a new crib with your beloved. But a friend told me Nippon colours are more accurate :P

But anyway, that green on my parents' wall looks nice too. I have no regret. Just some frustrations due to some expectations :P

I was just being the fussy me.

Semuanya ada 9. Ada 3 lagi hantaran (kek, muffin & sejadah) photographer x ambil gambar. Kecewa betul.

For wedding, I'll have white + cream for my side.
His side : black + pink + lilac.
And yes, will stick with artificial flowers sbb saya bkn lah seorg yg meticulous dan cukup sabar utk handle fresh flowers. Tabik spring utk kamu2 yg tekun menyiapkan hantaran sesegar embun pagi!

Tribute utk kau, budak kecik...

Itu hari dia dah decide sape pengapit dia... (bkn kau la…) Initial plan mmg kau, dah kau xde nak wat camne, kan?

Pastu baru2 ni, bile aku tanya dah inform kat org tu ke blom - dia ckp… “Budak kecik blk tak kenduri kite?”

Aku dah gitau kau on probation, xleh cuti. Tp dia ckp “Org nak gak dia jadi pengapit org. Nak suruh dia blk. Tiket AirAsia kan murah skrg. Gaji byk2 makan unta je watpe.”


Baik kau blk. Dtg kenduri kitorg.
Kalo x, aku pecah RAHSIA.

Nampak sgt dia rindu kat kau. Aku pon.
Kau kan mcm adik kecik kitorg yg sentiasa perlu dilindungi. Dan ye, kau pon byk jaga kitorg.

TQ Tag

Masih menggunting dan menggunting.
I'm a real sucker when it comes to wrapping paper. Dari zaman sekolah lagi. Pantang nampak yg menarik, mesti nak beli. Pastu kumpul bergulung2 kat rumah. Konon senang nanti tetibe nak balut hadiah, dah xyah beli. Mcm la byk sgt hadiah nak bg ek.

Current fetish - wedding wrapping paper. Sbb mmg skrg musim :P

So the other week, I bought a few of different designs. Came back home and noticed one of it, hey - I can cut these out. They are already in shape of a tag!!! Luckily it matches my theme!


Dah la a.e.i.o.u. - sekeping RM1 je. I did asked makcik yg jual tu, bkn slalunye RM 1.50? Makcik tu ckp "Taklah, rak ni RM 1, yg kat sana tu RM 1.50" sambil menunjukkan ke arah rak di satu sudut lain.

So I returned to the shop, finished up semua kat rak tu - ada 18 keping. Sekeping boleh dpt 70++ tags of nicely printed multi-coloured designs. Hanya perlu digunting, ditebuk lubang dan diletakkan riben. Memandangkan A tidak membantu proses menggunting - design yg kurang cantik haruslah digunakan utk majlis di Johor :P

The pros & cons - sgt murah dan sgt cute!!! TETAPI kertas nipis, so will need some reinforcement.

Masih belum siap sepenuhnya. Kerana apalah makna TQ tag tanpa perkataan 'Terima Kasih/Thank You' dan nama pasangan pengantin. Heh :P
