A great day...

Today is a great day...

It's not that we're celebrating 'today' but we spent quite a beautiful morning & lunch together... (I keja... *ehem*, dia yg ponteng.... :P)

He was already informed on his next assignment. Somewhere in rural China, if I'm not mistaken. 3-4 weeks, perhaps...
I'm ok. It's his job. But the fact that he's going ONE day before our FIRST anniversary that hit me. We're not planning for something big, but he was thousand miles away when we're supposed to celebrate our first Aidil Fitri as husband and wife, and now this...?

I hope he will be around when I really need him the most. Soon.
Otherwise, if circumstances were not on our side,
I hope God spare me with more strength...
Till then, I'll just savour each and every second we have now.

Here's something I got in an email...

One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore". No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute." Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up -- goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, or "I love you."

So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick. This is true for marriage... And old cars... And children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce, are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.
